What is the difference between an “Original Commission” and a “Digital Commission”?
Both are drawn by hand. The Original Commission is drawn on fine art paper, and you own the original work of art by the artist.
The Digital Commission is a high-resolution digital scan of the hand-drawn portrait that can be used for personal use (contact photo, wallpaper, social media posts). Digital Commissions can be printed on paper once for personal use (i.e., gifting, wall art) but cannot be reproduced or used as part of a logo or promotional assets.
How long will it take until I receive my order?
Print and apparel orders are processed within 3 business days and shipped via USPS (2-8 days). Original commissions are made to order (6-8 weeks) and will typically arrive within 2-8 days once shipped. Once the package has shipped, you will receive an email with tracking information.
Digital portraits should arrive in your email inbox within 6=8 weeks from ordering, check your spam folder in case!

Can I make changes to my commission order once it’s placed?
Due to the high volume of commissions, we cannot make changes once your commission form has been submitted. Please review your details carefully when placing your order to ensure Alexandra can create the artwork you envision.
Do portrait commissions include changes or revisions after I receive them?
No, all portrait commissions purchased on the site are final and cannot be changed or revised after completion. The commission is up to the artist's interpretation of your images and information in the artist’s style. With this in mind, please be highly detailed when placing your order.
What if I enter the wrong address on my order?
It is very important that you provide the correct address at checkout. If you notice an error before your order is processed, contact us immediately, and we will update the address before it ships. Once the order has shipped, we cannot make any changes.
What if I want more than two people in my Portrait?
We do accommodate a limited number of multi-person portraits each month; however, due to the time and detail required, we cannot guarantee availability for extending a portrait beyond two people. If you're interested in a larger portrait, contact us as soon as possible to check our availability.
Do you ship worldwide?
Yes, for shipping outside the US, please contact thealexandrayvette@gmail.com. International packages may incur additional shipping fees.
This is a gift! Do you provide gift wrapping and personalized notes?
All original commissions come beautifully packaged with tissue paper! Please email hello@thealexandrayvette.com promptly after ordering to request a personalized note be added to your order (maximum 12 words)
How should I care for my original artwork?
Portrait Commissions are created on thick, acid-free fine art paper and treated to minimize smudging. We recommend using a quality glass frame with an acid-free mount and backing boards to ensure longevity. We also recommend hanging the work in an area free from direct sunlight. Handle your finished work with care to prevent smudging and tears.
What is your return policy?
All products by Alexandra Yvette are final sale and cannot be returned or exchanged.
If you receive a damaged item, you are eligible for a replacement. To process your replacement, please return the damaged product to our studio. We require written notification and photo documentation of the issue as soon as we receive your order.
